Safe in Australia the kids are reunited with their parents.  Dyran sets about the task of getting home but there is something wrong.  Magic in the otherworld is raw and hard to use.  Getting home will not be as easy as they thought, then there is this ever present unknown threat, spoken of only as 'the media'.

Back on Andrayis the Scarati up the stakes.  As Elgar plays a holding action in Orcei, the focus of the war shifts to Anyana.  With Ceren stranded on the otherworld, Nyvar steps up to the plate.  On the ground in Anyana he does what he can to rally the scattered clans.

Will Dyran be able to solve the problem posed by low magic and keep them hidden from the media until he does?

Can Nyvar and Ostre save reach Anyana's mages and get them to safely before they are found by the College mages?

And how are Amy, Paul and Sarah going to fit back into the ordinariness of school after such adventures?
